Chilling Footage Of Serial Killer Aileen Wuornos Suggests Disturbing Theory Before She Was Executed

Serial killer, Aileen Wuornos, shot, killed, and robbed seven men before her execution in 2002.

Aileen Wuornos was a working pr****tute between 1989 and 1990, when she committed seven murders and robberies.

At the time of her arrest, the killer claimed that she had acted in self-defense, given the nature of her job.

She noted that men she had slept with s**ually abused her, but she was subsequently found guilty of the crimes and sentenced to death.

Ahead of her execution, Wuornos featured in a documentary titled Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer, in which she was interviewed about the motives behind her crimes.

One of the interview clips has now begun to resurface on social media, with people stumbling across chilling footage, in which Wuornos explained why she committed the crimes.

Despite not giving any evidence in court to support the disturbing reasoning, she was insistent with her claims.

When Nick Broomfield, director of the documentary, asked why she had murdered the men, she said: “Because the cops let me keep killing them, Nick, don’t you get it?”

The serial killed argued that the police were following her, and allegedly allowing her to kill these men.

Becoming frustrated, she added: “I was a hitchhiking hooker, running into trouble.

“I shoot the guy if I ran into trouble, physical trouble, the cops knew it.

“When the physical trouble lot came around, they thought ‘let em clean the streets, then we’ll pull her in’, that is why.”

Having been convicted with the murders of seven men, including Richard Mallory, 51, David Spears, 43, Charles Carskaddon, 40, Troy Burress, 50, Charles ‘Dick’ Humphreys, and Peter Siems, 65, she was executed on October 9 2002, aged 46.

In a 2004 interview with Broomfield, who got to know Wuornos well throughout filming, he said: “I think this anger developed inside her.

“And she was working as a pr****tute. I think she had a lot of awful encounters on the roads.

“And I think this anger just spilled out from inside her. And finally exploded. Into incredible violence. That was her way of surviving.”

The filmmaker added: “I think Aileen really believed that she had killed in self-defense.

“I think someone who’s deeply psychotic can’t really tell the difference between something that is life threatening and something that is a minor disagreement, that you could say something that she didn’t agree with.”

However, he noted that there was in fact a different side to the murderer.

“At the same time, when she wasn’t in those extreme moods, there was an incredible humanity to her,” he noted.

It seems the 46-year-old had an extremely troubling childhood, as her father was convicted of child molestation after her birth, and a few years later took his own life in prison.
