Netflix viewers have made a bizarre ‘incest’ claim about two characters in Wednesday Season two.
After the soaring success of Wednesday’s first season, creators of the horror have returned with another, but fans are all saying the same thing.
It’s two characters in particular that have been a focal point for some, with viewers questioning whether their sibling relationship is slightly incestuous.
There’s a lot going on in the second season, including the introduction of a key new character, Francoise Galpin.
It seems we have met her before, but the latest chapter reveals her true identity.
And it’s her relationship with her brother, Isaac Night, that has had viewers raising questions.
One viewer found the relationship so puzzling that they took to Reddit, to see if they were the only person who thought so.
“I just finished watching season two, part two, with my sister, and we both agreed that their relationship seemed kind of incestuous,” they wrote.
“At least on an emotional level.”
The user added: “Yes, they are siblings who care deeply for each other, but even at the point of death, Isaac refers to her as the only one he’s ever truly loved.
“It’s clear he doesn’t care about Tyler even though he’s family and you could argue that it’s because he doesn’t really know him but, something just seems off about those two.”
The continued: “From the way their hold each other to how they even look at each other. It’s kinda weird.
“Maybe being apart and thinking each other was dead did a number on them.”
But it turns out that viewers had been thinking the same thing.
One replied: “YES. I came to see if anyone else commented this!
“The way they were holding each other in front of the mirror, then immediately pulled away when Tyler came in indicates that what they were doing was weird.
“Even if Tyler wouldn’t have perceived it that way, they clearly were perceiving their own actions as weird… why?”
Another agreed, adding: “Came here right after watching the mirror scene of Isaac & Francoise and the comments did not disappoint.
“Was some serioussss incest vibes and you can’t say otherwise because they were immediately flustered when Tyler came back.”
But one viewer had an alternative theory to offer.
They said: “I think the body language between the actors was purposefully a bit provocative to give them a creepy vibe.
“However, I don’t think anything in the script gave me incest vibes, even though the vibes were there due to the acting choices.”
