Netflix Viewers have claimed that they ‘weren’t prepared’ for the ’10/10′ thriller.

A new thriller has landed on the platform that viewers have branded a ’10/10′, and it seems to have got people right in the feels.
The story follows the chaotic world of a single mother, whose day goes from ‘bad, to worse, to catastrophic.’
She is caring for her ill daughter, and is ‘pushed to the brink’ with ‘impossible choices.’
As the film progresses, we see Janiyah, the troubled mum, realise that the society she is living offers no support.
Taraji P. Henson, who plays Janiyah, has been described as the heart and soul of the film.
Speaking to Netflix, director, Tyler Perry, said: “She carries all of the emotional weight of this woman having the most challenging moment of her life.
“Taraji takes the audience through every emotion her character is having and that’s why she’s such a brilliant actor.”
He added: “You can’t take your eyes off her when she’s on screen.”
Describing her character, Perry noted: “She’s just trying to survive, just trying to be a great mother to her daughter, and then the circumstances in her life cause her to be in this situation.
“I think that a lot of people around the world, no matter if you’re a black woman or not, will be able to relate to that feeling of, ‘I’m at my last straw.’”
And viewers of the film were left ‘crying’ – rating it an outstanding ’10/10.’
One said: “All the emotions out of me on this one, but the plot twist had me speechless.”
Another added: “Ah, this is a 10/10.”
As a third noted: “This film is the exact reason why I’m kind to everyone, because you never know what a person is going through behind closed doors.”
The film, Straw, was written with a hidden message in mind.
Perry said: “Everybody has a story, and that one smile or that one bit of kindness that you give them could be the difference between making or breaking their entire world.
“That’s a message that I’d love to resonate.”
The director also noted that the character of Janiyah is not one we have seen depicted before, but one that resonates with so many people.
“If you think about it, when have you seen these types of characters before?,” he noted.
“In what film have you seen a Janiyah?
“What film have you seen them in and realized their struggle?”
Perry added: “When you have this opportunity and this platform to tell a story, whether you want to teach or not, you have to be mindful that people will take away lessons.”
