Some viewers have suggested that the ‘highly erotic’ film is not for the faint-hearted.
A lot of us love a steamy romance film, with a sprinkling of raunchy scenes here and there.
But a graphic film from the 1990s has seemingly resurfaced, following a story which is almost exclusively about s**.
And what might be surprising to users, is that it’s even riskily close to p*** in the way it was shot, over thirty years ago.
It’s about the title character’s life and s**ual awakening in the city of Madrid, which leads to her involvement in increasingly dangerous s**ual experimentation.
The film is so graphic that cuts had to be made to the final product, before being released in the U.K.
It was shortened by two minutes and 55 seconds.
Deleted scenes included an or** at a gay club, a man s**ually touching the main character, and a baby’s genitalia being exposed to the camera – which was considered to be a breach of the Protection of Children Act 1978.
Following the appropriate cuts being made, the DVD was released in 2002.
And after watching the ‘graphic’ film, fans have had a lot to say about it.
One noted: “Interesting story, though a bit disturbing…”
“Only watch it if you are open minded,” another warned.
A third said: “Oh my god this is both amazing and shocking in equal measure.
“It deals with inc***, r***, s**ual perversion, but also with vulnerability and lots of direction.
“One of my favourite films, but don’t watch it if you’re feeling a bit unstable.”
Another expressed: “The film pretty much covers every s**ual subject you can think of, and probably some you can’t.
“It’s a well-made movie.”
It was listed on Film4’s ’50 S**iest Film Moments,’ and is seemingly not for the faint-hearted.
Writing about the film, the Guardian‘s Rob Mackie noted: “It can’t help seeming exploitative, and it even comes to the usual soft-p*** conclusion: the heroine goes through this, that and the other, but then realises it’s love that matters.
The official synopsis reads: “Lulu falls in love with her brother Marcelo’s best friend Pablo and eventually marries him.
“After he convinces her to have a th***some, Lulu falls into a world of perversion and s** games.”
The Ages of Lulu stars actress Francesca Neri as main character Lulu.
Allegedly speaking in an interview, director Bigas Luna recalled a time when Neri, due to script requirements, was forced to shave her vulva.
It was alleged that the star burst into tears before shooting one of the film’s roughest scenes.
The Ages of Lulu is rightly age restricted to viewers over 18 only.
