Atomic One Hell Of A Ride is the latest binge-worthy adventure series with a star-studded cast.
The new explosive series stars Game of Thrones actor Alfie Allen, Star Trek: Discovery‘s Shazad Latif, and The Handmaid’s Tales, Orange is the New Black’s Samira Wiley.
The five-part series follows unlikely characters on ‘the unexpected journey of a lifetime.’
Atomic was inspired by William Langewiesche’s ‘The Atomic Bazaar’, a non-fiction book about the smuggling of nuclear weapons.
Max (played by Allen), a free-spirited dr*g smuggler meets JJ (Latif), an enigmatic outsider on the run, and the pair sparks up a friendship with a high-stakes mission.
The unlikely pair is trafficking highly enriched uranium across North Africa and the Middle East, with the CIA, MI6, and a global web of opposing forces following closely behind.
The charge for the CIA is Cassie Elliott (played by Wiley), who relentlessly pursues the two.

Critics are raving over Atomic, by the producer of Gangs of London. The Guardian’s Lucy Mangan reviewed: “The suspense never ends in Alfie Allen and Samira Wiley’s uranium-smuggling thriller. If you can make it through the intense opening, you can make it through anything.”
The show follows their wild journey, and IGV Presents sat down with Allen and Latif to learn more about their characters and the wild plot.
The show was filmed in Morocco, where Allen reveals he ‘learned a lot’ whilst being there, including ‘charming a scoprio.’
The actor says he loved shooting in Morocco, and it didn’t make him miss being in England.
The stars both added that having a shower at the end of filming each day was the best part of the evening, after shooting in the hot desert all day.
