Viewers are hooked on a period drama full of s*x, which fans say is the racier version of Bridgeton.
Not only are people hooked by the intense scenes between characters, but the elegant sets and costumes make it an addictive watch.
Fans have been left obsessed with the series and have taken to social media to express their praise.
One user writes: “The costumes are sumptuous without ever feeling costume-y, the landscapes are stunning, and the cinematography is gorgeously immersive.
“The whole production has an effortless polish to it which, combined with strong performances across the board, makes it the kind of show you can binge without pause.”
A second user pens:” LOVED IT. It had absolutely everything and more you would want in a period drama. It also covered a lot of interesting topics such as women having to be silent, abuse, loveless marriages, and unfaithfulness.”
“Let me tell you—if you’re a fan of Bridgerton or the dearly departed Reign, this show is calling your name with a lacy glove and a smirk. This little gem of a drama has it all,” a third reviewer states.

The racy period drama boasts a rating of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes, and viewers are raving over the complex relationships between characters, which ‘left them on the edge of their seats.’
The show follows a group of New York society girls who set out on an adventure to London to find suitors.
The friends with their loud and beaming personalities, set havoc on the English aristocracy as the show follows each girl in their own storyline in marrying for love, security, or out of necessity.
The show has been praised for being an enjoyable, light-hearted, and raunchy watch, but also for its depiction of how women were treated in society at that time.

The series is inspired by Edith Wharton’s final, unfinished novel of the same name, first published in 1938.
It reimagines her tale of young American women navigating love and social ambition in 1870s London.
The hit period drama stars ars Kristine Froseth as Nan St. George, the protagonist, alongside Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, and Imogen Waterhouse.
One part of the series that touched viewers was the queer storyline between character Mabel Elmsworth and Honoria Marable.

Josie Totah, a trans actress who plays the role of Elmsworth, spoke with The Cut about portraying a lesbian in a period piece: “I was constantly Googling and looking up certain things. I think the tightrope was realizing the context of that era and how you were persecuted for diverging or being othered and not conforming, but also the freedom.
“There was so much unknown, and there were no labels. That was also the hard thing for me: how do we tell a story in this time that centers joy in a modernized way, while still paying respect to a time period where you’re not saying, “I like girls,” and everyone’s cheering, you know?
“We still want to acknowledge that trauma, while not making this a story of trauma. That was the line to walk.”
